Introduction

I've been collecting books about music posters since 1999 when I first purchased Fucked Up + Photocopied. Starting around 2003 I discovered the brillant designs of the 1960's San Francisco Psychedelic Poster scene and just went nuts purchasing book after book about the scene.

I've broken the collection down into three distinct eras in poster design. Some books aren't strictly about one design style, so it's a rough fit sometimes.

For now I've only written brief capsule reviews. My eventual goal is to add a list of every designer and performer in every book listed here. I welcome any and all feedback people may have, and especially want to know of any books I may have missed.
